Terence Jackson is currently an Enterprise Security Executive at Microsoft. Previously he served as the Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer at Thycotic Software which was acquired by the Global Investment Firm TPG. In his current role he helps CxO’s align Cybersecurity to business goals by using best practices, experience and technology to reduce overall business risk and friction that monolithic security solutions introduce. He has also been responsible for providing enterprise-wide leadership to establish and maintain comprehensive Information Security; providing cyber innovation, and data privacy; and managing organizational risks. Terence is a Graduate of the Howard University School of Business and is currently a student at Albany Law School pursing a certificate in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy. Terence is also an industry-acknowledged expert and public speaker and is regularly invited to speak and share his insights by some of the largest and most respected organizations in the world including Forbes, Dark Reading, BrightTalk, Cloud Security Alliance, SC Magazine, InfoSec Magazine, Tech News World, The Guardian, Hedge Fund Monthly and Spectrum News. He has been recognized by Cyber Defense Magazine in 2020 and 2021 as Black Unicorn Top CISO award recipient. When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Terence has contributed to multiple books in the Tribe of Hackers series, most recently the Blue Team Edition.
Terence has also been asked regularly to contribute his expertise to online publications such as Expert Insights, DarkReading and Forbes.
